The Foothills Community Foundation Holiday Project gives aid to residents in the CCUSD area by giving food certificates and presents during the Christmas Holidays to enable them to celebrate the season.
The food certificates are for Bashas/Food City grocery stores and are funded by the FCF. The presents are collected by the Boulders Woman’s Golf Association who purchases gifts for boys and girls ages 3-16. The wrapped gifts are labeled by age/sex and are presented to The Giving Box program at CCUSD to distribute them.
The Desert Foothills Woman’s Club donates books in both English and Spanish which are also given to The Giving Box program for distribution.
Nancy Fulcher, chairperson of the Holiday Project, works with Debbra Determan at the Foothills Caring Corps and with Maria Forman, Alicia Sanchez, and K. Lou O’Dell at CCUSD to coordinate distribution of the food certificates. Lillian Reed is the liaison with the Boulders Woman’s Golf Association, who collects the presents and Nan Mullen is the liaison with the Desert Foothills Woman’s Club in charge of book collection.
