Desert Awareness Programs

Opportunities for Involvement

The key to the continued success of the Desert Awareness Committee is membership involvement. This is crucial to the continuation of the exciting and rewarding programs we have developed.

As a  member, we offer you an opportunity to learn more about the Sonoran Desert and share with others, both adults and children, the beauty and wonder of this exceptional landscape.

This is your chance to meet interested fellow desert dwellers, share knowledge and experiences, and to get involved in one or more of our ongoing community projects:
  • The Desert Reach school education program
  • Promotion of our publication The Fragile Desert
  • Writing articles for our natural history series A Desert Place
  • Stewardship care of Desert Awareness Gateway Park in Cave Creek
  • Participation in our adult education seminars
  • Joining us on our desert discover hikes/walks

Please complete our online membership form.  We will keep you informed of opportunities to participate in our activities that interest you.
