Eddie Smith

Carefree resident Eddie Smith holds degrees from the Arizona State University law school, the University of Chicago (MBA) and the University of Illinois (B.S. in Psychology).  Eddie hails from Danville, IL and spent his career in many states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Chicago and Arizona.  During his work life he was Vice President of Human Resources for a manufacturing company, Senior Partner in an international management consulting firm and CEO of a laser engraving organization.  Throughout his career Eddie has been involved in many community service organizations–most recently as a board member and Past President of Ecumenical Chaplaincy for the Homeless, a non-profit organization that assists the homeless escape their situation and return to productive lives.  He also currently volunteers for the Arizona Senior Legal Project, which provides free legal advice to elderly residents of Maricopa County.  His favorite past time is music and he has led church and community choirs as director and soloist for many years.  Since 2000 Eddie divides his time between Carefree and California, when he’s not traveling to favorite places like Australia and the Far East.
