Daryl Abbott

Daryl was born in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in Greencastle, IN.  After four years in the Navy he joined IBM where he spent thirty years as a technician and manager in four different IBM headquarters across the country.  Since 1984 Daryl has lived in Arizona and is currently a resident of Carefree.  His community service has included work for the Jaycees, the Boy Scouts and for nine years he served as a volunteer for Southwest Wildlife, including Board of Directors service for that organization.  He has also served as a volunteer for the Foothills Animal Rescue.  Among Daryl’s special interests/hobbies are computers, radio controlled aircraft, and photography.   Daryl aspires to give back to the community noting, “My Father always told me there comes a time in your life when it is time to pay back, to do things for others.   He did this into his 90’s, maybe I can also.”  Daryl is particularly interested in the education and community services divisions of FCF.
