Education Division

The Public Education Partnership merged with the Foothills Community Foundation in 2005.  The Education Division supports many Desert Foothills Community Education programs.  They also provide seed money for special projects that they feel will benefit the children for the local schools.

Last year’s loyal contributors enabled our school district’s children to:

·             attend supplemental, non-tax funded Pre-School, Kid’s Club, Tutorial and Summer School Programs. Over 500 students-at-risk, who could not otherwise afford it, received a helping-hand with their Community Ed tuition fees;

·             participate in the Artists in Residency Program where sculptors, painters,  dancers, theater and creative-writing professionals share their enthusiasm and skills in a classroom setting. Over 3,000 students benefited from this introduction to the arts

This year we will add programs to recognize outstanding teachers in the district and recognize students who exhibit great character. We will have some exciting announcements after the first of the year.

We are fortunate that we live in a community where most families can provide needed academic help and artistic awareness for their children, but a few cannot. All our children deserve this opportunity.

The Education Division of the Foothills Community Foundation (formerly known as the Public Education Partnership or PEP), is committed, with your help, to offer every child an enriched opportunity for a K-12 public education. Our goal is to raise $150,000 this school year.

The Education Division qualifies for the Charitable Tax Credit.  This means that a direct tax credit of $200 per person or $400 per couple.  Please consult your tax advisor.  The FCF will send you AZ Form 321 with your acknowledgement.
